Thanks Rob. Yeah, the first year of balanced schedule helped the Jays in ‘23 but the Al East teams averaged 90 wins apiece led by the former patsies in Baltimore.

Some good memories there Richard, thanks for sharing. I just hope the Jays don't continue their run of somewhat deflating performances straight off the bat. Berrios getting hammered, Manoah laying an egg. We won some of those games but we do have a habit of killing off the fun vibes pretty quickly.

Off topic I've been pondering about the 2021 team that missed the playoffs by one game. The team that nobody wanted to play in the playoffs. We were 14-5 against the Orioles that year who were still patsies. It makes last years performance perhaps seem more impressive than it seemed given that no-one in the AL East was weak (maybe the Red Sox) although we did have the more balanced schedule helping us out. Now that I think of it, I'm not sure what my point is.
