On one of the busiest MLB trade deadline days in recent memory, the Blue Jays feel they may have completed their shopping list, adding a former Cy Young Award winner, Shane Bieber, a right handed bat, in Ty France, and another hard throwing reliever, RH Louis Varland, to go with RH Seranthony Dominguez obtained from the O’s two days earlier. Was that enough for GM Ross Atkins and the Jays to rank among the Top 6 trade deadline winners heading down the stretch and what’s the best way to handle a rehabbing Bieber to ensure he can remain healthy into October?
