The Blue Jays - Yankees Tale of the Tape
Jays Run Prevention and Fundamentals vs. Bronx Bombs and Run Differential
The upcoming ’25 ALDS features the two best teams from the AL East, once again the toughest division in baseball, at 47 games above .500. Mal and Griff compare the Jays and Yankee rosters in six important categories, including a leadership faceoff between managers John Schneider and Aaron Boone. In addition, they review and preview the rest of the MLB field, the other three series, that will play themselves out on the October dance floor. Who are the five most important players for the Jays, moving forward in October. Many of them on both Griff and Mal’s lists are members of the bullpen, led by Jeff Hoffman, Brendon Little, Seranthony Dominguez and Mason Fluharty. Oh and there’s Vlad.

Let's go Jays. Sweep the stupid Yankees. Or win it in 4.
I liked your breakdown of the eras of the Jays, but I disagree that 1985 was the year fans started to embrace the team. As soon as Bobby Cox arrived we had exciting, competitive teams in 83 and 84 but were let down by our bullpen (and the 84 Tigers didn't help). Growing up with that mostly home-grown team was a wonderful experience. But I'll cut you some slack - you were with the Expos.
