The Blue Jays won 2-of-3 in Oakland, but somehow that result seems disappointing. They needed a sweep at this stage of the season in the midst of a soft 15-game stretch against losing teams … but it didn’t happen. Three A’s starters, all former Yankee farmhands acquired in trade, were impressive against Toronto, as the Jays struggled to score runs, while managing to score enough runs vs. the bullpen in two of the three. They need to be better and act more like bullies when the opportunity presents itself. Kids are back in school, the NFL is kicking off another season and it’s crunch time in major-league baseball.
