If anything positive emerges from this memorable Game 3 Blue Jays loss, hopefully it was a learning moment for embattled manager John Schneider. Using the entire bench too early and needing 218 pitches from the relievers in 12.2 innings tied for the most innings played in a World Series, ever, makes this a late-night worthwhile.

I guess you could make an argument that after the 7th out bullpen pitched better than theirs did given that our lineup was without Springer, Bo, Barger and Kirk. I watched in a Sports Bar here downunder. I think I've developed bed sores.
The Dodgers won because their superstars, unlike Bo and Soringer (and maybe Kirk) were healthy enough to play the whole game. Don’t think you should blame the manager for that or for an aggressive send by the third-base coach. The most problematic decision was allowing Dominguez to pitch to Ohtani (credit to Dan or Buck for first-guessing that one). Also, the Wetteland trade didn’t happen in the 1989 offseason; rather, Montreal got from LA via the Reds in the 1991 offseason.
