Jays take 2 of 3 and win third straight series
Griff recaps the just-completed three game series vs. the Red Sox, including the convincing series finale 8-1 win led by homers from Ernie Clement and Brandon Valenzuela, plus a three-hit game from Vlad Guerrero Jr.
In addition, much was made of the classy exit from the Phillies of fired manager Rob Thomson, making suere he mnet with media after being let go on the weekend. Griff talks about Buck Rodgers in Montreal, how he was fired mid-season, also by GM Dave Dombrowski, and how his request to meet the media on thge way out was dealt with in a unique and imaginative way.
The. Jays now head to Minneapolis to face the Twins and St. Pete vs. the Rays for a seven-game road trip.
Just can't help thinking that we'll be looking back lamenting on how poorly we did on the early 'soft' part of the schedule. Having said that, both Colorado and Chicago don't look like complete train wrecks this year.
