Unfortunately the game scores have been such that Barnes/Lovelady have been used in 2 of 3. If the games are close they won’t see much usage. They may even be shipped out.
Scherzer's ongoing thumb issue is a big problem, but even worse is the bullpen. It's inexplicable that Ryan Yarborough wasn't retained, especially given how disastrous Lovelady and Barnes have looked. If the bullpen is as bad as last year, the Jays can forget about the playoffs this year. The only plus is that we'll hopefully be rid of this God-awful front office.

You wonder if they would have been better off investing that $15 mill in a couple of Kyle Gibsons. I can’t help thinking the signing was another bit of ‘desperation’ by the FO to do something exciting for the fanbase (see Sasaki, Soto and Ohtani).
