Do you think there's any runway that brings back Springer, Scherzer (assuming he doesn't retire) or Gausman back to the Jays in 2027 on one-year deals (maybe t wo in the case of Gausman.) I thought about including Bichette in that group but as you indicated earlier, that ship has probably sailed.
Thanks Nick. I do believe Springer’s time with the Jays is over. Scherzer would be best packing it in to start the 5-year clock for his Hall-of-Fame countdown. I also believe that if a Gausman return was in the plans that they would have been at least a little extension chatter while he was still here. Interesting to see where Gaus ends up and the term, maybe two years, plus a club option. He was one of my favourites to deal with.
