Earlier in the summer, we caught up with long-time Team Canada manager and former Blue Jays catcher Ernie Whitt for a far-reaching Griff’s Conversation, with tales from his dayts as a player in Toronto, plus every World Basic Classic since the tournament debuted in 2006. That all makes us want to bestow upon him honourary Canadian status, which is something he feels like he has, anyway.
Second that thought on Florida. The PDC is supposed to be hurricane proof and a potential shelter. We’ll see. It’s about 2 km from the water. A lot of players and staff have homes in the area.
