Ah this is a shame. You never know, but it's not looking great. If we do get knocked out, I don't think I'll be gutted, just disappointed. We weren't even expected to make the playoffs and I think this team and season should be celebrated for what they've achieved. Imagine if we do make the World Series...just think about that....it would be completely insane!

No matter what happens, they've done good.

Judging from history, as time goes by, even if the Jays don’t bring the series home from Seattle, good fans will remember the DS win over the Yankees like they still do the 2015-16 seasons, with a smile, even though they lost to the Royals and the Indians in those two ALCS.

I was emotionally exhausted after the New York series....in a good way of course. It was so much fun. With the Mariners/Tigers going 15 innings, everything seemed to be lining up for us, but I couldn't help feel that Game 1 had all the earmarkings of an 'upset' waiting to happen....and it did. It reminded me of that game against Cleveland in the ALCS in 2016 when the Indians had the young pitcher (Ryan Merrit?) and Bautista made the 'shaking in his boots' comment. And then of course we lost what was supposed to be a winnable game.

The Jays season will last as long as their hitting allows. The main reason they had so many come from behind wins during the season was because the relievers were too frequently unable to hold a lead so clutch hitting in late innings was needed. The lack of hitting against the Mariners has exposed the weak pitching.

This seems to be the most common thought among readers…and most Jays fans
